Do I Need Special Hardware?

No special hardware is required. Any standard webcam works — built-in laptop cameras, USB webcams, or external cameras. The minimum recommended resolution is 480p, though 720p+ provides the best tracking accuracy. No gloves, markers, or sensors needed.

Is My Camera Feed Stored?

Absolutely not. Your camera feed never leaves your device. All hand-tracking computation happens locally in your browser using WebAssembly-accelerated ML inference. We only transmit game state data (scores, actions) — never video or image data. You can verify this in your browser's network inspector.

Which Browsers Are Supported?

Tracky Hand works best on Google Chrome 90+, Mozilla Firefox 88+, and Microsoft Edge 90+. Safari has limited WebAssembly SIMD support and may experience reduced frame rates. We recommend Chrome for the best experience. Mobile browsers are not currently supported.

How Precise Is the Tracking?

Under good lighting conditions, Tracky Hand achieves 95%+ gesture recognition accuracy at 30+ FPS. The 21-point hand skeleton model detects all major gestures with sub-20ms latency. Performance improves with better lighting — a well-lit room facing a neutral background gives optimal results.
